Student-led initiative expands brand awareness, strengthens community connections, and supports the brand's growing franchise network

Drexel University students are about to get their bagel fix as a Philadelphia-born bagel shop makes its way to University City. Bagels & Co. will open its latest location at 3201 Cuthbert St.

Bagels & Co., a Philadelphia-based breakfast and lunch chain, is preparing to open its first Tampa Bay restaurant as it continues expanding across Florida and the Southeast.

Rapid franchise growth leads to the expansion of the Philadelphia brand into a new state. On June 22, Bagels & Co. officially signed a retail lease with Rambler Athens. Beginning fall 2026, Bagels & Co. will reside on the ground floor of Rambler Athens located on West Broad Street.

An experienced restaurant and franchise executive brings operational leadership, brand development expertise, and a focus on building scalable systems as Bagels & Co. prepares for franchising.
